When Volunteering Got You a Buy One Free One

Some time ago, whether out of pity or out of respect we volunteered to be participants (READ:to make up the numbers) in a Faculty sponsored event. Of course when the day came (which is yesterday), i wish i had never do.

Anyway, we (bb, gc, vio, cindy n i) went though me with a heavy heart to Marriot Hotel in Putrajaya. The moment we were there, we realized many people who also volunteered "released the aeroplane" (which means, did not show up after promising) so there left with us 5. We got a buffet lunch though, and it is decent enough to fill my stomach.

The enough was a bore. Why those lecturers can't even put up a decent presentation (save one or two)? After being bored to closed to 1 1/2 hour, finally, we are liberated.

Out of boredom or perhaps due to something else, we went to Alamanda, another boring shopping mall with little to shop. Vio again can't get her shoe and we ended up eating our dinner at the not so nice to eat food court.

All the way in Alamanda, Cindy, being the cake lover, had mention about the Secret Recipe boxes people are bringing. And they came in pairs. So we went to a cake-hunt and lo! Secret Recipe is having a buy one free one!!!

And so, what else we will do unless to buy them?

yay...buy one free one

And so we lined up and got our cake.

This was the line after we bought the cake. When i line up (a couple of moment ago), the line was long. Why am i always the unlucky one? T_T

And finally, we got our cake. Look at how happy are they!

and we got these two;

i forgot what cheese cake

choco moist

And its cutting time!!!!!

people says you should never mess with the ladies..

i shall add, you shall never see the day if you mess with those with knifes, even the cake cutting ones..

"zhui dok fu yan sam"

If you look at their faces, you might think there is a serious operation going on. Yes, it's "Operation Code Cake". The two in formal wear were going to dismantle the cakes, starting with blackie.

I dunno how to end this..So i would just say, the cakes are great and....it always pay to volunteer. At least, make the lecturers happy. Afterall, making old people happy is good right? *wink*
